Since middle school I always wanted to be a comic book artist, but after interning with a comic artist for two summers I decided that lifestyle was not something I was looking for. Even though it is not my full time career, comic and more recently children's illustration, has inspired me an drives me to get better.
In the summer of 2013 I opened a small business and the regular work has pushed me artistically more than I have in years. I love making cos-play wedding invitations but recently have become very interested in children's literature for it's creative and narrative qualities. This has allowed me to develp a style that walks the line between comic book and children's book artistic styles. It is my hope to bring the imagination of kids literature and combine in with the realism and scope of comics.
